A car fire that spread to a garage early this morning in Superior caused an estimated $22,500 damage. No injuries were reported.
The fire at 2131 Banks Ave. was reported at 3:53 a.m. today, according to Battalion Chief Scott Gordon with the Superior Fire Department. A fire which started in a car spread into a one-car garage. Both were a total loss, Gordon said, and both were insured. All three fire halls and the battalion chief responded to the fire. Firefighters cleared the scene after about an hour and a half. The fire, which Gordon said is suspicious in nature, remains under investigation.
