Sheriff’s department investigates burglary

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary that took place Wednesday morning at the Middle River Tavern in the town of Amnicon.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary that took place Wednesday morning at the Middle River Tavern in the town of Amnicon. A safe and several items were stolen from the bar, according to a sheriff’s department report. The incident took place some time between 12:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., according to the report. Information about the burglary is being sought by the sheriff’s department. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Richard Schnell at 715-395-1692.
