Gerard E. "Jerry" Rolo, 59, Superior resident, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

Gerard E. "Jerry" Rolo, 59, Superior resident, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

He was born on Oct. 4, 1953, in Milwaukee, Wis. to Donald and Corrine (Bennett) Rolo.

He was a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Odanah, Wis. He enjoyed camping, biking and nature. He also was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Gerard is survived by his son, Jerry Rolo, and his mother, Teresa Burris, both of Duluth, Minn.; daughter, Paige (Plaza) Stanley, Onalaska, Wis.; grandchildren Ava and Evan Rolo, brothers, David Rolo, Paradise, Calif., Marc Anthony Rolo and nephew Nick Rolo, both of Mahnomen, Minn., Patrick Rolo, Madison, Wis., Timothy Rolo, Atlanta, Ga. and Frank (Germaine) Bennett, of Wis.; sister, Ruth Rolo, Madison, Wis.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Stephen, Donald and Peter Rolo.

Per Gerard's request, there will be no services.

Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
