LETTER: Opinion is just carelessness
To the Telegram: Regarding the notion society has largely relegated mental illness to the criminal justice system in the column by Mike Nichols published Dec. 28. You know better than that.

Regarding the notion society has largely relegated mental illness to the criminal justice system in the column by Mike Nichols published Dec. 28.
You know better than that.
We who deal with a mental illness earn to the millions, hold every university degree and every professional, white and blue collar job. There is no way you do not know that. What you have written and what you have accepted for publication is not an “opinion.” It is without malice, simply careless.
