KUWS airs mining hearing

Late Friday afternoon, state Sen. Tom Tiffany, R-Hazelhurst, and state Rep. Scott Suder, R-Abbotsford, announced the introduction of mining bills in the State Senate and State Assembly.

A hearing on Senate Bill 1 and Assembly Bill 1 begins at 9 a.m. today at the State Capitol in Madison.

In cooperation with Wisconsin Eye, www.wisconsineye.org, WPR will provide live coverage of the hearing from beginning to end on Ideas Network stations KUWS FM 91.3 in Superior and WUWS FM 90.9 in Ashland.

Wisconsin Public Radio bureau reporter Mike Simonson will anchor WPR’s coverage of the hearing.
