SHS announces make-up dates

Superior High School sports teams are shuffling their schedules following this week’s cold snap.

The boys swimming and diving team and the boys and girls hockey and basketball teams all had events postponed Tuesday.

The boys swimming and diving meet with Grand Rapids and Duluth East will be held at 5:15 p.m. Thursday at Ordean East Middle School.

Both the boys and girls hockey teams have their games rescheduled for February. The Spartan girls play Eau Claire at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 7 at Hobbs Arena in Eau Claire. The Spartan boys play Duluth Denfeld Feb. 8 at the Heritage Arena, with the junior varsity game starting at 6 p.m. and the varsity game starting at 8 p.m.

The SHS basketball teams’ doubleheader with Duluth East will be played Jan. 31 at Duluth East High School. The varsity girls team will begin the night with a game at 5:45 p.m., and the boys will follow with a game at 7:45 p.m.

The Spartan girls junior varsity and freshman teams will both play at Duluth East High School at 4:15 p.m. The boys freshman team plays at 4:15 p.m. at Ordean East Middle School, and the boys junior varsity team plays at 5:30 p.m. at Ordean East Middle School.
