Spartan dancers first in high kick, second overall

Duluth Marshall was the overall winner at the Lake Superior Conference Dance Team Championships Saturday afternoon at Superior High School.
The host Spartans tied for second overall with Duluth Denfeld, and Hermantown finished fourth.
Superior finished first in high kick and fourth in the jazz/funk.
Named LSC all-conference from Superior were Lindsay Sommer, Anessa Lawrence and Haley Tribbey. Kjerstan Lisak was an honorable mention pick.
The Spartans will compete in the WACPC Western Regional Saturday at New Richmond.
The WACPC state meet is Feb. 2 in La Crosse.
