UWS women skate past Saints

The University of Wisconsin-Superior women’s hockey team defeated the St. Scholastica Saints 3-1 Friday night at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.

Kiara DeKezel, Alison Shrift and Dani Schultz scored for the Yellowjackets.

Nikki Logergren scored for the Saints.

Shanley Peters had 13 saves for Superior and Teraysa White hat 31 saves for the Saints.

Game two of the series is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wessman Arena.
