Ecumenical celebration of the word of God
In observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and at the request of the Wisconsin Council of Churches, Bishop Peter Christensen is hosting an Ecumenical Celebration of the Word of God at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior.
In observance of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and at the request of the Wisconsin Council of Churches, Bishop Peter Christensen is hosting an Ecumenical Celebration of the Word of God at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior.
The liturgy begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, followed by a reception. Wisconsin ELCA Bishop Duane Pederson will preach, and other regional denominational leaders assist.
All are invited to attend. A free will offering will be taken for the Superior/Douglas County Long-Term Recovery Committee, which will use the money to aid victims of the June flood.
