Gena M. Casey

Gena M. Casey, 51, Superior resident, died Sunday, Jan. 13 at her residence.

She was born on June 11, 1961 in Superior to Ronald and Patricia (DeMoure) Peterson.

Gena enjoyed helping others with benefit planning. She was an avid NASCAR and Minnesota Vikings fan and loved playing computer games and was also a coupon queen.

She is survived by her son, Ron Carl Ashley; her mother, Patricia; one sister, Gail (Michael) Kuhlman, all of Superior; three brothers, Gary (Colleen) DeMoure, Henderson, Nev., Greg (Diane) Peterson and Gene (Jacquelyn) Peterson, both of Superior; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and her fiancé, Michael Torgerson, Superior and her beloved cats Smoky and Patches.

Gena is preceded in death by her father Ronald Peterson; uncle Raymond DeMoure; maternal grandparents Clifford and Ann DeMoure; paternal grandparents Albert and Harriet Peterson; niece Brittney Kuhlman and her son's father Randy Ashley.

A time of remembrance and celebration of life will be held from 12:30-2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 18 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior.
