On Saturday starting at 8 a.m., the mighty tree that has been standing in Bayfront Park since November will finally be taken down and put into hibernation. Workers from the Iron Worker Local Union 512 and Lakehead Sign will donate their time to bring down the tree. Workers have said that it will take approximately five to six hours to dismantle and move the tree to it’s off season home at Lot D on the water front.
Bentleyville “Tour of Lights” volunteers will also be down at the park dismantling the many displays left up. Anyone who would like to join them is welcome to come down. They will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. There is still much to do and the extra help would be greatly appreciated.
