Life’s sanctity
Lutherans for Life, a group of individuals and church representatives meet to support, encourage and uphold the sanctity of God’s gift of life meets at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St., near Viewcrest Nursing Home.
Self-help workshop
A free six-week self-help workshop on “Living Well with Chronic Conditions” is offered 3-5 p.m. every Wednesday Jan 16-Feb 20 at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N. 16th St. Those attending will get support, learn practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, and learn better ways to manage life and health. Drop in kids
First Covenant Church offers a weekly drop-in youth center 3-5 p.m. every Wednesday called WINGS for middle school students in grades 6-8. The church offers weekly activities like sports, homework/study room, music, movies, arts and crafts, video games and other special events.
