Community school offers lesson, book discussion, Zumba toning

Pilgrim Community School is serving up classes on everything from building a birdhouse and wine appreciation to ski waxing and hospice care.
The winter session kicks off Thursday with a lesson on how to grow and maintain a Finnish yogurt culture on your kitchen countertop. Zumba toning classes are ongoing at the church on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. New this session is a women’s book discussion group that meets Jan. 28 to discuss “The Secret Lives of Bees” by Sue Monk Kidd and March 4 to discuss “The Red Tent: A Novel” by Anita Diamant.
Many classes are free, others are available at the low cost of $3 or $5 per class. Everyone is welcome to participate.
