LETTER: Poplar loses beloved citizen

To the Telegram: He was a man who put the word “gentle” in gentleman.

To the Telegram:

He was a man who put the word “gentle” in gentleman.

His smile could bring sunshine from behind the darkest cloud.

He was a man who never met a person that didn’t have some good in them.

If he was wronged he had the ability to forgive and forget.

A person who was always willing to share his time and money

So others may reap the benefits.

His longevity was probably due to his ability to find pleasure in

Activities that others may define as chores or work.

He had the patience of Job.

So with silent tears we say thank you Del Carlson for

Letting us share a part of your life.

Carl Jensen

Minong, Wis.
