Drive helps homeless in Twin Ports

Homelessness in our community is growing. The Human Development Center’s (HDC) Homeless Project and Project Reach Out are in dire need of resources to assist those faced with homelessness.

Homelessness in our community is growing. The Human Development Center’s (HDC) Homeless Project and Project Reach Out are in dire need of resources to assist those faced with homelessness.

Perhaps you can help? Donate gently used or new items of winter outdoor gear; portable food and water; personal hygiene items at the 2013 HDC Homeless Project Supply Drive, a project planned by the Leadership Duluth Class 2012-13

The drive benefits the both Twin Ports communities.

Two collection drives are planned. Drop off donations 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Superior Wal-Mart and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Hermantown Walmart.

Collections bins are located at all US Bank locations in Duluth and at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Superior Clinic through Jan. 21. A wish list of supplies needed is available onsite.
