The Superior Police Department is looking for information in connection with graffiti discovered at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
The graffiti appeared over the New Year holiday, according to Gary Gulbrandson, campus safety director.
There was also one incident of the Government Center being hit with graffiti, Superior Community Policing Officer Bonnie Beste said.
The building was hit below the police chief’s window, said Keith Kesler, manager of the county’s Buildings and Grounds Department. Kesler reported to a county committee last week that traditional graffiti removers were unable to remove the vandalism and the county may have to use a sandblaster because the stone was etched.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Superior Police Department at 715-395-7468. The department also can be reached on Facebook or the anonymous texting tip line. The text keyword is “spdtip” to 847411 on your cell phone.
