Cindy L. Salo, 47, Brule, Wis., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

Cindy L. Salo, 47, Brule, Wis., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

She was born on July 27, 1965, in Racine, Wis. to Roger and Blanche (Rosendahl) Kangas.

She loved car racing, the Green Bay Packers and was an avid reader. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children.

Cindy married Scott Salo on Aug. 15, 1998, and celebrated 14 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Bolin, Superior; one son, Bryan (Amanda) Bolin, Superior; two stepsons, Scott Salo, Jr., Big Lake, Minn., Austin Salo, Big Lake, Minn.; one grandson, Cooper Bolin, Superior; two grandchildren who are soon to be born, one is a boy to be named Oliver.

She is also survived by her mother, Blanche Kangas, Duluth, Minn.; her father, Roger Kangas, Superior; one brother, Corey (Laura) Kangas, Duluth, her father-in-law and his wife, Ronald and Darla Salo, Superior; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her four beloved Alaskan huskies.

Cindy was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Grace Rosendahl and Selma Pohjonen.

Visitation will begin at 2 until the 3 p.m. memorial service on Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, Superior with Pastor Lynn Kern, of Cloquet, Minn., officiating.
