When and where: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Superior Wal-Mart and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Hermantown Wal-Mart; look for the marked tables in the parking lots
What’s needed: Clothing such as adult gloves and mittens, socks (preferably wool), fleece, winter hats and scarves, and adult long johns; food items such as bottled water, granola bars and nonperishable snacks; personal-hygiene items like bar soap, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products; and other items, including sleeping bags, tarps, tents, can openers, first-aid kits, backpacks, blankets, hand warmers and candles
Monetary donations: Make checks payable to the Human Development Center-Homeless Project; or donate online at humandevelopmentcenter.org
Other donation options: If you can’t make it to Wal-Mart the coming two weekends, supplies also are being accepted in marked boxes at all US Bank branches in Duluth and in the main lobby at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Superior Clinic
