City of Superior: Keep garbage and recycling carts clear of snow for prompt pickup
Putting your garbage and recycling cart in the right location and keeping them clear of ice and snow assures that your carts will be picked up in a timely, safe, and clean manner.
Putting your garbage and recycling cart in the right location and keeping them clear of ice and snow assures that your carts will be picked up in a timely, safe, and clean manner.
Please place trash carts and recycling carts at least 3 feet apart, and at least 3 feet away from parked cars, basketball hoops, fire hydrants, etc. so the trucks can reach them.
Please shovel the snow around trash and recycling carts so the collection trucks can access them. (Just like you would for mailboxes.)
Please make sure that carts move freely and are not frozen to the ground.
Please do not place carts on top of snow banks.
Please keep the covers closed so they do not fill up with snow and ice.
Please be sure that the carts are not in the driving lane so vehicles can get around them.
Give a helping hand to neighbors who may not be able to shovel their walks or a spot for their carts, and don’t forget to clear the snow away from fire hydrants too; they should be accessible from both the street and the sidewalk.
