A Superior man accused of sexually assaulting a child in 2010 made an initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court last week.
Jeremy Edward Cloud, 21, faces felony first-degree child sexual assault-contact with a child under age 13 and exposing genitals or pubic area. A $5,000 signature bond was ordered in the case.
As a condition of his bond, Cloud is to have no contact with the victim or any minors under the age of 18.
According to the criminal complaint:
Cloud was sitting with a 12-year-old on a couch at a Superior residence sometime in the fall of 2010. He said “I know what you want,” moved next to the child, put his hand down her pants and touched her groin area. He then exposed his penis to the girl and asked her to touch it, but she did not. When questioned by Detective Joe Krieg with the Superior Police Department, Cloud said he did touch the girl and expose his penis. He realized what he was doing was wrong, covered up and walked away, Cloud told Krieg.
