Born Feb. 10, 1938, to Wilfred R. and Frances Moder Hayes in Superior. He lived in Pittsburg, Texas with his wife, Virginia where he owned an Electronics Shop for many years.
He is survived by his wife Virginia, her two children, Penny Holmes and Randy Mason. His mother Frances Moder Westlund, Superior. His sons William (Debbie) Hayes, Omaha, Neb., and Robert (Chris) Hayes, Council Bluffs, Iowa, his grandchildren Brian (Cheryl) Hayes, Matthew (Jennifer) Hayes, and Stephanie Hayes. His great-grand children Landon, Liberty, Langley and Katelyn Hayes. His sisters Judy (Lou) Reinstra, New Richmond, Wis. and Julie (Chris) Owen Superior, and his brother-in law Lee (Anna) Berns, Sparks, Nev.
Jack is preceded in death by his father, W. R. Hayes and a sister, Janice Hayes Berns.
Jack graduated from Central High School in Superior. Served in the Air Force. Attended University Wisconsin in Madison. Jack was well know in Wisconsin and Texas for his ability to repair all things electronic. He was an avid fisherman in his youth and a member of the Ojibwa Tribe in Ashland, Wis..
Services will be held in the spring in Wisconsin.
