Harley V. Anderson, 79, of Superior, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Range.
Harley V. Anderson, 79, of Superior, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Range.
He was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Chetek, Wis., son of Selder and Mary (Snider) Anderson.
On Oct. 30, 1970, in Superior, Harley V. Anderson and Jacqueline K. LaBonte were united in marriage.
Harley worked many years as a grain inspector for the State of Wisconsin.
Some of his many interests included playing cards - especially cribbage; yard work; helping his son-in-law, Eric, build decks and working outdoors; however, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of over 42 years, Jacqueline; daughter, Linnea (Eric) Breezee, South Range; son, Harley (Melanie) Anderson, Jr., Sartell, Minn.; four grandchildren, MyrandaKaye, Brock, Brandon and Hailey; four sisters, Avis (Carl) Winek, Superior, Patsy (Neil) Lagro, Superior, Charlene Thompson, Hammond, Ind., and Ramona Verdoljak, Superior; two brothers, Charles Anderson, South Range, and James Anderson, Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Friday, Jan. 4 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Rev. James Tobolski officiating.
