Annual native plant sale underway

Get your order in now for the land conservation department’s annual Native Plant Sale.

Get your order in now for the land conservation department’s annual Native Plant Sale. Orders will be accepted through Feb. 22, and quantities are limited. New this year is Tamarack transplants, Alleghany serviceberry, Boneset, Prairie aster, and Blue-eyed grass. Trees and shrubs are sold bare root and grasses and flowers are sold in six-pack plugs. All plants are sold in small quantities at a low cost. Proceeds from this sale fund scholarships for local students and teachers and student conservation programs.

Pick up an order form at the following locations in Ashland, Bayfield, Iron and Douglas counties: Land conservation departments, county clerk offices, county forestry offices, DNR offices in Ashland, Barnes, Mercer and Superior, and University of Wisconsin-Extension offices in Ashland and Hurley.
