The Northwood-Solon Springs wrestling team finished 11th of 15 teams recently in the Division 3 level of the Northern Badger Wrestling Classic.
Brandon Wilcox led the Evergreens with a third place finish and 32 team points at 182 pounds. Wilcox advanced with a forfeit in the first round and a pair of pins to meet St. Croix Falls’ Joe Radamacher in the semifinals. Radamacher (18-0) won a 4-0 decision to advance to the finals, and Wilcox (9-1) went on to defeat Cumberland’s Jaylen Lansin with a 3-1 decision in the third-place match.
Northwood-Solon Springs also received 19 points and an eighth-place finish from Kenny Thompson at 120 and 11 points and a 12th-place finish from Ethan Luedtke at 285.
