Do you still need help rebuilding your home after the June floods? Do you have paperwork you don’t know what to do with related to the flood? Do you not know what your next step might be? Do you know of friends, families or neighbors who need help but don’t know where to turn?
A Disaster Case Manager can help.
There is a network of Disaster Case Managers, including one based in Superior, whose job it is to sort through the maze of assistance and help individuals and families rebuild their homes and lives.
In addition, Flood Homes with Hope has a volunteer coordinator and reconstruction manager whose job it is to help plug in the right kind of skilled and unskilled volunteers to help.
Flood Homes with Hope is a campaign to connect those affected by the June 2012 Northland Flash Floods with the resources they need to rebuild homes and lives. Partners in the recovery, led by the Regional Long Term Recovery Committee, include the United Way of Douglas County, Lutheran Social Services, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Harbor House Crisis Shelters and Northwestern Wisconsin Community Service Agency among many others.
If you or someone you know needs help, don’t hesitate to call.
The Disaster Case Managers can be contacted through 218-499-9480. Additional information can be found at www.floodhomeswithhope.org.
