Members of the 148th Fighter Wing Chapter of the Minnesota National Guard Enlisted Association played Santa for Animal Allies Humane Society this month.
Tech. Sgt Kelly N. Hraban, association director, along with M. Sgt Emily Wigg, Tech. Sgt Rachel Micken, and Staff Sgt Corrine Sager from Chapter 48 (148 FW Branch) delivered boxes of much-needed products for Animal Allies shelters.
Members also collected more than $250 in cash donations to help provide food, shelter and loving care for local homeless animals.
“We conduct a donation drive for nonprofits in the community during the holiday season and this year Animal Allies was chosen,” Hraban said. “The community has been very supportive of our service members and this is one way for us to say thank you and give something back.”
“We are very grateful for the gifts,” said Rick Sailstad, executive director of Animal Allies. “Our success as a humane society is possible only because we have a community that cares.”
