Duluth: Local singer/songwriter Charlie Parr takes the stage at two different venues to raise money for Spirit of the Lake Community School. The first concert begins at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Music Center. Tickets for this all ages venue, which includes opening act Murder of Crowes. Parr plays a special set with The Black Eyed Snakes and Glass Elevator beginning at 10:30 p.m. at Pizza Luce. They will play danceable 80s cover hits for the 21 and older crowd. Tickets are $10 for each venue.
Monday
Superior: Ring in the new year support the effort to end domestic abuse during the “Dance to End Abuse,” a New Year’s Eve party to benefit the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse. The event takes place from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Barker’s Island Inn, featuring live music by The Fractals, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, both silent and live auctions and much more.
