Ellenson brothers, Warriors too much for Tigers

The Northwestern High School boys basketball team fell to the Rice Lake Warriors 60-40 Friday at Rice Lake.

The Tigers (5-3, 2-2) fell behind early. The Warriors outscored Northwestern 13-6 in the first quarter and 20-12 in the second to take a 33-18 lead at halftime.

The Ellenson brothers, Ellwood and Henry, led Rice Lake in scoring. Sophomore Henry Ellenson made three 3-pointers and finished with 16 points, while Ellwood Ellenson finished with 14 points.

Micah Olson led the Tigers with 13 points, followed by Dylan Jardine with 10 points.

Northwestern was 10-of-18 at the free-throw line and Rice Lake was 5-of-8.
