Superior swims in Eau Claire; sinks the Warriors
Andrew Eisenmann had a hand in winning four events for the Spartans. Individually he won the 100- and 200-meter freestyles then teamed up with Aaron Christner, Lukas Gall and Logan Kittelson to win the 200-meter free relay with Christner, Kittelson and Dustin Gilbertson to win the 400-meter free relay.
The Superior High School boys swimming team defeated Rice Lake 101-69 Tuesday night in the RLHS pool.

Individually he won the 100- and 200-meter freestyles then teamed up with Aaron Christner, Lukas Gall and Logan Kittelson to win the 200-meter free relay with Christner, Kittelson and Dustin Gilbertson to win the 400-meter free relay.
Gall finished second in the 100 free and Zach Grymala and Jacob McGraw finished 2-3 in the 200 free.
Superior also finished second in the relays, with Cameron Gray, Collin Kittelson, Eric Rasmussen and Zachary Grymala taking second in the 200 free relay, while Tyler Bettschen, Grymala, Matt Little and Tyler Kiel took second in the 400 free relay.
In other action, Superior lost to team Eau Claire 134-52 Friday night at Eau Claire North.
Eisenmann’s first-place finish in the 100 free was Superior’s only win. His time of 50.20 was a personal best time.
The Spartans then competed in the Eau Claire Santa Invite on Saturday, finishing in sixth place.
Eau Claire won the team title with 324.5 points, followed by Stevens Point, 243; Wausau East, 199; Chippewa Falls, 188; River Falls, 136; Superior, 97.5; Minneapolis South/Washburn/Roosevelt, 83; and Marshfield, 49.
Superior’s best efforts were a pair of second-place finishes by Eisenmann, with a time of 23.35 in the 20 free and a 51.10 in the 100 free.
The Spartans will be back in action at Duluth East at 5 p.m. on Jan. 8.
