St. Michael’s hosts Iron River area sing, cantata

The Iron River Area Chorus proudly presents its second annual Christmas Cantata at 2 p.m. Saturday.
“Let Heaven and Nature Sing Gloria!” by Wisconsin composer Mark Hayes, is performed at St. Michael Catholic Church, 68105 S George St., Iron River. The concert begins with carols accompanied by brass quintet and concludes with the Cantata.
The composer writes, “Enter into this expression of praise, joining all nature and the heavenly host, as we celebrate again the birth of God’s Son.” You are invited to stay for a reception following the concert.
The Iron River Area Chorus has 35 voices. Members of the chorus and brass quintet come from Iron River, Port Wing, Herbster, Cornucopia, Bayfield and Ashland.
Flute soloists Betty Braunstein and Barb Molenhauer are featured in pre-concert music. Chorus is under the direction of Patty Lehman and accompanied by Lana Jorstad.
