A Superior man accused of stealing cash from gaming machines at his employer’s business faces arraignment following a Wednesday preliminary hearing in Douglas County Circuit Court.
Dennis Patrick Cronin, 50, faces misdemeanor theft and felony possession of meth charges.
He was released on a $2,000 signature bond.
According to the criminal complaint:
Cronin, a cleaner at the Superior business, was caught on video surveillance taking cash from the gaming machines on eight occasions between Nov. 11 and Nov. 29. Two videos showed him reaching into the machines for cash. The business owner said the others showed Cronin covering or redirecting the cameras. The business owner estimated Cronin stole about $1,400.
When he was arrested Nov. 29, police officers found four bags of meth in a film canister that was in his pants pocket.
Cronin’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 25.
