Brides and grooms-to-be, from throughout the upper tri-state area, will be in the spotlight as Lundeen Productions presents the 25th Annual Duluth Bridal Show 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. Since its modest beginning in 1989, the show has grown from 20 exhibitors and several hundred attendees to one of the largest bridal showcases in the upper Midwest.
This year’s bridal show, themed “A North Woods Wedding,” features nearly 150 exhibitors with a wide range of products and services ranging from gowns and tuxes to photographers, music and catering with plenty more in between.
“The Duluth Bridal Show is a planning tradition that really helps future brides and grooms navigate through almost anything they are going to need to plan their wedding and start out their new lives together,” says Tracy Lundeen, president of Lundeen Productions, the show producer. “It’s also a social event that has a tremendous feel of anticipation, excitement, and fun having so many people under one roof planning the most special day of their lives.”
In addition to the exhibits, the Duluth Bridal Show features a runway fashion show that is one of the highlights of the event. The fashion show, at 3 p.m., features fashions from many leading area bridal and formalwear businesses. At the conclusion of the fashion show, the drawing is held for the grand prize winner of a seven nights all inclusive honeymoon at the Majestic Colonial Punta Cana in a junior suite with Jacuzzi, roundtrip airfare from Apple vacations, plus private transfers, and a $100 shore excursion voucher compliments of About and Beyond Travel of Duluth.
New, this year, is the Duluth Bridal Show Man Cave.
“As more and more grooms-to-be attend the show each year, we want to add a little fun for the guys. If they get tired of walking around the exhibit hall, they’ll be able to enjoy a beverage and watch an NFL playoff game on one of several flat screen TVs set up at the show,” says Lundeen. “There will also be prizes just for the grooms this year.”
Also, for the third consecutive year, the Duluth Bridal Show will feature the VIP Bride Program. A VIP Bride receive 2 tickets for the bride and her guest, for early access to the exhibit hall, personalized VIP bride lanyard, access to VIP lounge with snacks and beverages, personalized address labels to ease prize registration throughout the day, reserved seats to the fashion show, special prize drawings exclusive to VIPs, exclusive planning presentations, pampering provided by 2 Dye 4 Salon, and more.
