UWS men beat Eau Claire

Bronson Byrne scored 14 points and blocked six shots Wednesday night as Wisconsin-Superior defeated Wisconsin-Eau Claire 75-53 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s game before 318 fans at Zorn Arena in Eau Claire, Wis.

The Yellowjackets (3-6 and 1-3 in WIAC) led 40-30 at the half in breaking a four-game losing streak. Brendan Bauer and Austin Cahil each added 12 points for UWS. Trent Davis had six rebounds as the Yellowjackets led that category 32-28.

The win was the first in the league for UWS, while the loss kept Eau Claire (4-6) winless in the WIAC at 0-4.
