Spartan swimmers second at Hodag Relays

The Superior High School boys swimming team finished second at the Hodag Relays Saturday at Rhinelander High School.

Green Bay United won the team title with 88 points. The Spartans were second with 73 points, and Rice Lake was third with 59 points.

Superior didn’t win any events Saturday but finished second in three events (200 medley relay, 500 free relay, 150 medley relay) and third in five others (800 free relay, 200 free relay, 300 backstroke relay and 400 free relay).

The Spartans are back in action at 5 p.m. Friday at Eau Claire Memorial and then compete in the ECM Santa Invitational at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
