Victim in fatal weekend fire was Oshkosh woman, 56

The victim of a fatal house fire in Oshkosh over the weekend has been identified as a 56-year-old woman.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — The victim of a fatal house fire in Oshkosh over the weekend has been identified as a 56-year-old woman.

According to an Oshkosh Northwestern report , the Winnebago County coroner's office determined that Randi I. Shaw died of smoke inhalation.

Oshkosh firefighters were called to Shaw's home Saturday about 4:15 a.m. They found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor, where her body was later found. A dog was also found dead.

Police say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
