LETTER: Everyone pays for tax on rich

Democrats are always saying tax the rich. Well you’re not taxing the rich — you’re taxing every one.
If Democrats said we are going to tax everyone, there would be an uproar. They also would not be re-elected.
So they sneakily say “we only want to tax the rich.” So folks think hey they can afford it and it will not affect me. Wrong! If the rich have to pay a higher tax, they will do what any person does in business — pass it on to the consumer.
Yes , you and me.
If the government came in and told the rich, of which the majority would be business owners, we are going to tax you 5 percent for everything you sell or every service you provide, do you think these folks are going to pay this tax out of the kindness of their hearts?
Do you?
No, they are not going to eat it they are going to pass it on to their customers.
So in reality, if you pass a tax on the rich, you’re essentially passing a tax on every one. Of course, the Democrats hope you do not realize this.

Superior
