Gerald R. Ryan

Gerald R. Ryan, 74, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Superior died Monday Nov. 26, 2012, in Cincinnati.

He was born Aug. 1, 1938, in Superior to Louise (Hanson) and Robert Ryan.

Gerald had been employed as a carpenter in Cincinnati and also had sailed the Great Lakes.

He is survived by his children; Louise Buhl and Gerald Ryan Jr. both of Clinton, Tenn.; a sister, Barb (Larry Midbon) Dembroski of Superior; two brothers, Lawrence (Harriet) Ryan and Eugene Ryan both of Duluth; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Roger.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. at V.I.P. Pizza, 1201 Tower Avenue with lunch to follow.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden and 19th Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
