Wisconsin has $1 million Lottery winner, 10 other big winners

MADISON — Wisconsin had 11 major winners in the Wednesday, Nov. 28 Powerball drawing, including a $1 million winner, while tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri claimed shares of the record jackpot.

According to a Wisconsin Lottery news release the jackpot came in at $587.5 million ($384.7 million cash). Wednesday night's historic winning numbers were 5, 16, 22, 23 and 29. The Powerball was 6.

Wisconsin's $1 million winning ticket was sold in West Allis at Speedway on Oklahoma Ave.

Nine other tickets won $10,000 and one additional $10,000 ticket was turned into a $40,000 winner because the player bought Powerball's Power play prize multiplier feature. The Lottery will not be able to identify which ticket is the $40,000 winner until later Thursday morning.

The 10 sellers were: Janesville Travel Center, 3222 Old Humes Road, Janesville; Freedom Mini Mart, Appleton; Kwik Trip, Cross Plains; Korneli's Main Street Express, Fond du Lac; Myrt's Handi Mart, Grand Marsh; Piggly Wiggly, Kenosha; T&T Fermanich Oil Co., Marinette; Har Gobind Citgo, Milwaukee; Montello Mart, Montello; East End BP, Superior.

Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prizes. The $1 million winner must claim the prize at the Lottery's Madison headquarters.
