Everyone is invited to join in family fun at Superior’s annual Winterfest 5-8 p.m. Dec.6, in the Marcovich Wellness Center at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
This free community tradition offers family events for people of all ages.
The Marcovich Wellness Center at Catlin Avenue and 19th Street is the center of activity. Children can visit Santa Claus and enjoy giant inflatable games, a climbing wall, a storybook village, cookie decorating, crafts, face painting, a photo booth and more. The entertainment stage features local choirs, dance groups, and an international poetry reading.
Everyone attending Winterfest is encouraged to bring a new or gently used children’s book to donate to the Little Blue Bookshelf project in Superior.
For more information, visit the Winterfest website at www.uwsuper.edu/winterfest or call 715-394-8244.
Free parking is available in university lots.
Winterfest is sponsored by UW-Superior, the Superior-Douglas County Area Chamber of Commerce, Superior Business Improvement District, Calumet Superior LLC, National Bank of Commerce and Superior Glass Inc.
