NWCSA could use some volunteer help

Northwest Community Services Agency could use some help. The agency is looking for volunteers to help with some of the services they provide. If you have time to spare, the agency is looking for help in the following areas:

Northwest Community Services Agency could use some help. The agency is looking for volunteers to help with some of the services they provide. If you have time to spare, the agency is looking for help in the following areas:

• Memory Lane is the adult day program for those experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Volunteers spend time with participants playing games, watching TV and more. Contact Dianne Nelson at 715-394-2587.

• People are needed to oversee the free store, assist customers, sort clothing, straighten and hang items Monday through Thursday. People also are needed in the afternoons Monday, Tuesday and on-call to stock shelves and assist with food distribution in the food shelf. Call 715-392-5127.

• Tax preparers, greeters, interviewers and a tax office assistant are needed for the Tax Assistance Program during the tax season. Volunteers must participate in trainings provided by NWCSA and adhere to NWCSA and IRS VITA standards of conduct, including confidentiality. All applicants must undergo a background check.
