LETTER: Red kettle helps many

To the Telegram:
It has come to my attention on many occasions that during major mishaps, storms, earthquakes, etc., the Salvation Army rarely gets any recognition from the public or media. Why is that? The Salvation Army helps people in so many ways throughout the community and mission work. They are also a part of Operation Blessing through the 700 Club, feeding the hungry and helping the homeless, among all the wonderful things they do.
So, during this holiday season I want you to know that when you generously and lovingly put money in the Red Kettle, it will make a big difference in the lives of others.
Thank you so much and have a wonderful holiday season. Your gifts will never be forgotten.
Jill Swanson,
Superior
