Army Reserve Pvt. Michael J. Robert graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Joy Robert of Hayward and a 2008 graduate of Hayward High School. He earned an associate degree in 2009 from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, Rice Lake.

Air Force Airman Justin R. Knase graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Knase is the son of Jeff Gondek of Superior, and Kim Knase of Lake Nebagamon, and a 2011 graduate of Northwestern High School, Maple.

Area native, Pfc. Mason R. Ford, earned the title “U.S. Marine” upon graduating from Marine Corps recruit training in San Diego on Sept. 14. He is a 2012 graduate of Superior High School.

Air Force Airman Scott A. Miller graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is the son of Alan Miller of Birchwood, Wis., and a 2007 graduate of Elk River High School in Minnesota.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Abigail K. Johnson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. Johnson is the daughter of Julie Johnson of Superior and a 2010 graduate of Superior High School.

Air Force Airman Joshua J. Seifert graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. Seifert is the son of John Seifert of Superior and a 2005 graduate of Superior High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jacob C. Schiefelbein graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is the son of Christopher and Sandra Schiefelbein of Birchwood, Wis., and a 2011 graduate of Birchwood High School.

Army Sgt. J. L. Robinson returned to the U.S. after serving overseas at a forward operating base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Robinson’s wife, Tiffany, is the daughter of Pat and Pam Wyhe of Cumberland, Wis. He is a 1996 graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonee.
