Fargo teen with Superior ties competes in pageant

The competition is held at the same time as the Miss North Dakota USA competition.

Thirty contestants competing for the state title between both pageants will each receive thousands of dollars in prizes and awards.

There are three segments of competition; evening gown, swimsuit and personality interview.

About 35 teens were chosen to compete for the teen title. The winner advances to the nationals, which will be held in the Bahamas next summer.

Kristy is a senior at Davies High School in Fargo. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, a Rotary Club Student Guest and a member of her school’s improvisational group.

She volunteers as a teacher’s assistant in the science program. last summer Kristy was one of 20 students from North Dakota selected to attend NDSU to work on research projects for the university.

Kristy is the daughter of former Superior residents, Ronald and Carol Brandt who now reside in Fargo, N.D.
