OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska-Omaha goalie John Faulkner made 30 saves in the Mavericks' 3-2 win over Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday in Western Collegiate Hockey Association play.
Michael Young's power-play goal at 12:12 of the third period snapped a 2-2 tie. Four of the game's five goals were scored during power plays.
Josh Archibald and Ryan Walters also scored for UNO (5-3-1, 3-1-1), and Dominic Zombo had two assists.
Mike Seidel and Tony Cameranesi netted goals for UMD (2-4-1, 0-2-1). Seidel has four goals this season, all on the power play.
The Bulldogs outshot the Mavericks 32-25.
Matt McNeely made 22 saves for the Bulldogs.
