Brittany Smith of Superior worked all night Thursday and had to work Friday night too. She was there with her children, ages 4 and 22 months, to protect working class folks.
“I’m protecting my dad,” she said. “My dad is disabled but he works 60 hours a week sometimes … he’s the most hardworking man that I know. Those are the types of people I want to protect, the people who are willing to work and just aren’t going to be getting the protection they need to do so.”
She wondered if Medicare benefits would be there for those hardworking people in the future.
Having Biden stop at Superior is, she said, “very exciting despite your political viewpoints. I mean, he’s the vice president.”
