“It was a beautiful speech, just excellent,” said Arleen Schrieffer of Superior. “He just talked so smoothly.”
For Schrieffer, Biden’s comments about workplace equality for women really hit home.
“If that guy over there is doing the same job I’m doing and he’s getting paid $10 an hour and I’m only getting paid $5 an hour that’s not fair,” said Schrieffer, a certified nurse’s aide. “If we can do just as good a job as the men can do, we should get paid for it.”
Schrieffer said she expects a close race on Election Day but she intends to vote for Obama.
