November is National Family Caregivers month and the theme this year is Family Caregivers Matter.

Senior Connections recognizes and supports caregivers through the National Family Caregiver Support Program.

Through the program, Senior Connections offers a number of services and resources including a monthly support group, a Senior and Caregiver Guide listing valuable services and programs, a library of books and videos on caregiving, educational opportunities and respite or supplemental caregiving services.

Senior Connections is a sponsor of the Head of Lakes Caregiver Alliance, which is a group of providers and caregivers that meet to network and advocate on issues and services that impact caregivers.

To learn more about local caregiving resources, respite and educational opportunities, or if you are interested in becoming a member of the Caregiver Alliance, contact Luann at 715-394-3611 or 800-870-2181.

The local caregiver support group “Caregiver Conversations” meets 1-2 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave.
