Luncheon honors women in leadership
The YWCA of Duluth hosts the 9th annual Women of Distinction Luncheon and Awards. The event promotes the mission of the YWCA — empowering women and girls, eliminating racism and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all — with emphasis on leadership, and empowerment for all women and girls.

The event promotes the mission of the YWCA — empowering women and girls, eliminating racism and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all — with emphasis on leadership, and empowerment for all women and girls.
The 2012 awards go to Mary Asmus, Kris Ridgewell and Tonya Sconiers.
All three of these women are community leaders who have made significant contributions to Duluth and exemplify an enduring commitment to women’s leadership. An additional award is being presented to Jodi Broadwell as an emerging leader under age 35.
The YWCA is pleased to celebrate these women.
The Women of Distinction Luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 14 at the Harborside Ballroom at the DECC. The luncheon is free and is a fundraiser for the YWCA.
