Irene L. Maki, 80, of Superior, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at her residence.

Irene was born on Nov. 8, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Eibon.
She was an registered nurse and had worked at St. Mary's Duluth for 30 years. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King, a volunteer at Memory Lane and for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
Irene enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with all her grandkids. She also enjoyed the time spent with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Maki, Jr.; daughter, Marsha Maki; and brother, Joe Eibon.
Irene is survived by her children, Marilyn (Dan) Maki-Beetcher of Milwaukee, Wis., Bill (Anita) Maki of Superior, Mark (Sara) Maki of Houston, Texas and Melissa (Joe) Gudowski of Superior; grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Joe, Alyssa, Evan and Ava; one great-grandchild, Logan; brother, Robert (Ann) Eibon; and sister, Marion Dunphy.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial Thursday., Nov. 1 at Cathedral of Christ the King Church. Rev. Leon Flaherty and Rev. Ronald Olson will concelebrate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
If desired, memorial may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
