More than 300 people attended and raised $12,000 at the fourth annual Sips & Slices fundraiser held at the Superior Curling Club Oct. 10, benefiting Just Kids Dental. Attendees voted for their favorite pizza and the winner of this year’s Best Tasting Pizza in Douglas County is Corbin’s Harbor Inn.
Sips & Slices is an annual fundraiser for Just Kids Dental and its services dedicated to improving the oral health of Superior, Maple and Solon Springs children. This year seven pizza vendors competed and five distributors participated in the beer tasting. A silent auction and raffle were also held.
The event’s major sponsor is the Superior/Douglas County Tavern League, along with many other dedicated community businesses and organizations.
